So all the work on the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, was completed.
The Israelites did everything just as the Lord commanded Moses.
Deuteronomy 39:32
The Israelites finished making the tabernacle and brought it to Moses.
Under the direction of Bezalel and his crafty helper Oholiab,
the Israelites were able to complete all parts of the tabernacle.
I thought about all of the materials and labor that went into making the tabernacle.
It must have taken a long time to make everything.
They had to make not only the outer covering but everything that went inside as well.
It was a task that required not only talent but many laborers as well.
Just making the curtain must have taken years since they had to do everything by hand.
Unlike the arc which Noah made by himself (with the help of his family),
the tabernacle was a project meant for the Israelites to complete.
Sometimes, it is easy to work alone.
But some jobs require cooperation and collaboration.
Project Tabernacle was a job that required talent, ability, and the labor of many people.
There was no way Moses could have done it alone.
My new job is such a case.
Unlike my other job where I was the boss of my own room,
now I am required to use a Microsoft program called Teams.
Already, I am a part of a Teams chat room according to color and language.
Each team room is subdivided into general, break, and others.
Since my first day of work is Monday, I thought about not saying anything on chat
but after reading about how the Israelites were involved in making the tabernacle together,
I decided to drop by and say hello to my team.
Right away they greeted me and taught me how to address each other.
Already I felt welcomed.
These are the people I need to learn from and rely on.
And hopefully, in the near future, I will be able to reciprocate as a team member.
