[Judges 1:1-10]
The men of Judah then said to the Simeonites their fellow Israelites,
"Come up with us into the territory allotted to us,
to fight against the Canaanites.
We in turn will go with you into yours"
So, the Simeonites went with them.
Judges 1:3
Ater Joshua died, the Israelites asked God
who should go first to fight the Canaanites.
When the Lord to the Judah to go first,
the men of Judah asked Simeonites to go with them.
In return they promise to help the simeonites.
I really liked the word, "with" in today's verse.
In Korean version, it is "함께".
They say that you can go faster alone,
but you can go farther together.
Maybe the men of Judah knew that.
They could have fought alone,
but being with the Simeonites diffinitely had advantages.
There are things you can do alone;
and there are things you cannot do alone.
There are times when you need help from other people.
And although sometimes you can do it alone,
there is advantage in working with others.
You can share in the joy as well as pain together.
I work remotely so sometimes I feel like I am alone.
But we have a Team Chat where our team share about our work.
As soon as I logged on I thought about this verse.
"I am happy because we do it together!"
I wrote it on the Team chat.
I received a lot of happy emoticons.
